creaking noise when braking at low speeds - maintenance

2020-3-27I know this is an older post but I'm searching around for folks with similar issues to my car which is a creaking/squeaking noise when you turn the wheel and at low speeds over bumps Mine first started at low speeds (under 15 miles/hr) primarily over slow bumps but 2009-12-15Hi I just had my brakes replaced maybe a month ago To my knowledge they replaced the pads drums rotors pretty much everything Anyway now when I am braking at low speeds my car is making a creaking noise It's a cross between a creaking sound and sometimes it sounds like something is rubbing together Does anyone have any insight as to what it could be?

I have creaking noise coming from the front when

I have an annoying creaking sound coming from the front of my car when braking The car is a 2011 Sonata with new rotors and pads The noise was present before installing the new parts ( this is why I replaced them thinking it would fix the problem but nope)

2018-2-22I had posted previously about my Equinox making a creaking sound when lightly applying the brakes at slow speeds (under 15mph) My car started making this sound at the end of the life the original equipment front brakes which in had changed at about 70k miles at a tire shop

It makes a groaning/creaking noise during low-speed braking (parking) Also when coming to a full stop at normal speeds (stops seems to make the sound when the car rebounds from a normal-effort full-stop) I thought at first it was suspension related since it did sound like a suspension creak Dealer tells me it is a brake noise

2014-6-10But now it's turned into a rubbing/popping noise I've jacked the car up and checked for play in the wheel found none When there is no pressure on the wheel the noise seems to go away I have linked two videos that I took to let you hear the noise Note it happens both when stationary and moving at low speeds

Over the past couple of weeks my car has developed a rather annoying noise from the front end Ive started this thread in the hope that I get some help tracking down what the culprit might be The car is a 2013 model with about 82K miles The suspension is unmodified apart from wheel spacers fi

2016-10-13Front of my car is making creaking and squeaking noises at low speeds? At under light 20 miles an hour it sounds like a squeaking sound at under 10 miles an hour it sounds like creaking floorboards It seems to be about the equivalent of 1 per tire Revolution and I thought it might be the brakes so I just replace them but the problem hasn't

2019-12-9Another reason responsible for the grinding noise when braking is broken shims A worn-out shim will make a contact with a piece of the braking system such as the rotor When metal comes together with other metal like this they will create a grinding sound from your braking system So anytime you get a brake job done you must replace the shims

2015-8-9Brakes had been making a creaking noise as I take my foot off the brake pedal while in gear Eventually it warped my rotors and I just had them replaced The creek was gone for about 2 days and now over the course of about 2 weeks the creaking noise in the front brakes is back! What can

A repeating noise or vibration when you apply rim brakes is most likely due to an imperfection in the braking surfaces on the sides of the rim A width irregularity will cause the brake to grab a bit harder (or a bit less) as the irregular part of the rim passes between

Azera TG (2006-11) :: Creaking Noise While Braking Maybe around 35000 miles experienced a creaking noise when you brake? The car typically does it after warming up but every time I come to a complete stop the rear of the car produces a creaking noise right before the braking completes I brought it to they couldn't replicate it

2020-8-19These things are Bonded together to form the braking pad When you use the brakes the braking pad keeps wearing out until the outer metal cover touches the rotors At that time you will start hearing creaking noise when braking at low speed So if your braking pads used for a long time or been worn out go and change them immediately
